Managed vs Self-Managed Support
When buying Core hosting from Fridge Hosting, you can choose between Managed support and Self-managed support. The hosting foundation is the same. The difference is how much help you want from us.
Managed Support
Managed support is the standard Core experience. Choose Managed if you want help using your hosting, setting up email, connecting domains, accessing your control panel or getting guided support for normal hosting-related tasks.
Self-Managed Support
Self-managed support is the lower-cost option. Choose Self-managed if you are comfortable handling normal hosting tasks yourself, such as setting up email accounts, updating DNS records, using your hosting control panel and troubleshooting basic hosting issues.
Why Self-Managed Costs Less
Self-managed costs less because you need less hands-on support from us. It is not lower-quality hosting. It is a saving for customers who can manage normal hosting tasks on their own.

What Managed Support Does Not Mean
Managed support does not mean we run your business, build your full website, manage your third-party platforms or make unlimited changes for you. It means you get practical hosting support for normal hosting-related tasks.
Can I Change Later?
Yes. You can change your support option later if your needs change. You can start self-managed and move to Managed support if you decide you want more help.
Simple Recommendation
If you are unsure, choose Managed support when buying Core. If you know your way around hosting, email settings, DNS and control panels, Self-managed may be enough for you.
